(a) Prevent the introduction of pollutants into the municipal stormwater system which will interfere with the operation of the system;

(b) Prevent the introduction of pollutants into the municipal stormwater system which will pass through the system, inadequately treated, into receiving waters;

(c) Prevent erosion and flooding of public and private properties caused by uncontrolled stormwater runoff;

(d) Enable the Utilities Department to ensure compliance with any stormwater applicable permits, and meet water quality requirements and other stormwater discharge criteria which are required by State and Federal law; and

(e) Provide for the establishment of penalties for violation of this chapter. (Ord. 20262 § 10, 10-6-20.)
