Section R113.2, Notice of violation, is hereby deleted in its entirety and the following provisions shall be substituted therefor:

The building official is authorized to serve a notice of violation or order on the permit holder, property owner, or the person responsible for the erection, construction, alteration, extension, repair, moving, removal, demolition or occupancy of a building or structure in violation of the provisions of this code, or in violation of a detail statement or a plan approved thereunder, or in violation of a permit issued under the provisions of this code. Such order shall direct the discontinuance of the illegal action or condition and the abatement of the violation. Any permit holder, property owner, contractor or individual who has been served with a notice of violation and who has not appealed or corrected such violation within ten (10) days shall be deemed ineligible to receive any new or additional building permits until such time as the violation is corrected.
