(a) Generally. All signs shall be maintained in good condition. A sign with missing or visibly damaged face panels, exposed internal lights and related internal hardware, visible deteriorating paint and rust, or structural damage that may be hazardous to the public is not in good condition and shall be repaired or removed within a reasonable time as determined by the Planning and Development Director.

(b) Unsafe Signs. The Planning and Development Director shall notify the property owner or person maintaining any sign which has become insecure or in danger of falling, or is otherwise unsafe. Upon receipt of such notice, the property owner or person maintaining the sign shall proceed immediately to place the sign in a safe and secure manner and condition as approved by the Planning and Development Director or the property owner shall remove the sign.
