A written report of the reexamination, signed by each of the examining physicians, shall be filed with the City Medical Advisor. If the City Medical Advisor determines that the reexamination confirms the original finding as to physical disqualification, the original order of compulsory retirement shall remain effective. If the City Medical Advisor determines that the reexamination discloses that the employee is capable of properly performing as a firefighter or police officer, the employee shall be retained in the department without loss of time or pay.
