Employees injured or ill from an occupational disease arising out of and in the course of their employment for the City are eligible to receive workers compensation benefits while they are temporarily totally disabled and still employed as a regular employee of the City, in accordance with the Workers Compensation Act (K.S.A. 44-501 et seq., 44-5a01 et seq.) and rules.
