The Board of Zoning Appeals shall administer the details of appeals from or other matters referred to it regarding the application of the zoning regulations in accordance with the general rules set forth in TMC Title 18, Division 4, including the power to hear and determine appeals where it is alleged there is error in any order, requirement, decision or determination made by an administrative official in the enforcement of the zoning regulations and to permit exceptions to, or variations from, TMC Title 18, Division 4, in the classes of cases or situations, in accordance with the purpose, conditions and procedures specified in TMC Title 18, Division 4. In addition, the Board of Zoning Appeals shall have power to hear and determine appeals from any person whose application for a permit to hang, erect or locate a sign under adopted sign regulations relating to size, height, and illumination has been denied or an appeal by any person desiring to appeal from any decision of the Code Enforcement Director in the enforcement of the City sign regulations.
