The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

“Established place of business” means a place of business regularly dealing in the type of goods or property involved in that immediate transaction.

“Pawnbroker” means any person who loans money on deposit or pledge of personal property or valuable thing, other than intangible personal property, or a person that deals in the purchase of personal property on condition of selling such property back again at a stipulated price; but such term shall not include any person operating under the supervision of the State Bank Commissioner or the Credit Union Administrator.
