There is hereby created a promotion board which shall consist of five members of the department appointed by the chief of the department. Three members of such promotion board shall be appointed for terms of two years and two members shall be appointed for terms of three years. The chief of the department shall serve as ex officio chairman of said board. (C.O. 10 § 3, 11-13-67.)
