(a) Disposition of vehicles which remain unclaimed by the registered owner or lienholder of record for a period of 30 days or more shall be done in compliance with the procedures for impoundment, notice and public auction provided by K.S.A. 8-1102(a)(2) and amendments thereto.

(b) Pursuant to K.S.A. 8-1102 and amendments thereto, all moneys derived from the sale of motor vehicles, after payment of the expenses of impoundment and sale, shall be paid into the fund for construction and maintenance of streets. No moneys derived from the sale of motor vehicles shall be used for the payment of parking fines. (Ord. 19589 § 7, 6-14-11.)
