Permittee/registrant shall be required to participate in the construction of handicap ramps at intersections where the curb and/or sidewalk are disturbed due to permittee/registrant work. The City is responsible for installation of all new ramps. For new construction the permittee/registrant will replace any curb section removed with a handicapped accessible curb section. Temporary sidewalk will be provided by the permittee/registrant until the City can install the ramp. If the handicapped accessible curb section cannot be installed by the permittee/registrant due to design considerations related to the proper ramp installation, the permittee/registrant will be billed by the City for the pro rata cost of curb installation when completed. The permittee/registrant is responsible for total replacement of any existing ramps and curb sections that might be damaged during permittee/registrant installations or repairs.
