The introduction of any solvent-based products (i.e., fuel, gasoline or any other hydrocarbons) or enzymatic agents is prohibited in the collection system. All other chemicals, emulsifiers, live bacteria, or other grease cutters or additives shall be approved by the Utilities Director prior to use. Based upon the information received and any other information solicited from the potential user or supplier, the Utilities Director shall permit or deny the use of the additive in writing. Permission to use any specific additive may be withdrawn by the City at any time. Any violation of this section may result in the issuance of a notice of violation and enforcement in accordance with this chapter. (Ord. 20089 § 97, 10-17-17.)
