The Fire Chief or his/her designee shall make periodic inspections of licensed salvage yards to ensure that they are being operated and maintained in accordance with permit conditions and applicable code provisions. If an inspection discloses that the owner/operator of a salvage yard is operating in violation of any code provisions, the licensee shall be so informed in writing by registered mail of the violations and shall have 10 days from receipt of such notice to come into compliance with the code provisions. If the owner/operator fails to comply, the City may pursue enforcement under the appropriate code provisions. In addition, the Fire Chief may revoke the permit. (Ord. 19370 § 87, 3-23-10.
